Facebook: la catena dei nostri libri preferiti determina una classifica precisa

Su facebook gira, da qualche settimana ormai, una catena di Sant'Antonio "culturale", dedicata alla condivisione dei libri che ci si ricorda più facilmente. Questo è il messaggio:

Nello status elenca 10 libri che sono stati con te.
Non metterci più di una manciata di minuti e non pensarci troppo.
Non devono essere i libri "giusti" o capolavori della letteratura, solo libri che ti hanno colpito. Tagga 10 persone includendo me così posso vedere la tua lista... e magari trarne ispirazione.

Quindi una persona scrive i titoli dei libri e rilancia la catena taggando nel proprio status altre dieci persone.

Non è un compito difficile, quali sono i libri che sono stati con noi?

"To answer this question — rispondono in una nota su Facebook Lada Adamic and Pinkesh Patel — we gathered a de-identified sample of over 130,000 status updates matching “10 books” or “ten books” appearing in the last two weeks of August 2014 (although the meme has been active over at least a year). The demographics of those posting were as follows: 63.7% were in the US, followed by 9.3%in India, and 6.3% in the UK. Women outnumbered men 3.1:1. The average age was 37. We therefore expect the books chosen to be reflective of this subset of the population."

E così, Lada Adamic and Pinkesh Patel, hanno elaborato la lista dei venti libri più "nominati" all'interno di 130'000 status.
