What is Weblo.com?
Weblo is a parallel universe that is the only virtual world based on the real world. Members own and manage websites that are virtual replicas of real cities, states, properties, domains and celebrities. Members earn real money via hits, internet ads and by selling or auctioning assets for a profit. Members enhance their online portfolios by claiming popular social networking profiles, blogs, emails and videos in Weblo's Calculate Your InterNET Worth section.
In order to check how easy is to use Weblo in combination with Facebook (my favourite general-purpose Social Network, after the two professional/specialized LinkedIn and Spock), I have just made this morning an experiment with my profile on Facebook.
So Facebook (of course you must already have a profile there).
- Register yourself (for free) with Weblo by entering Calculate Your InterNET Worth section of their web site. You will be proposed to
- Select Facebook Icon from the Social Networks section (later you'll be able to add another your Social Networks, Blog accouns, etc)
- Enter your account login information (hm...)
- Wait until "Please wait while the worth of your Facebook profile is being calculated. This may take a few minutes..." message does not disappear
- Check for your account's value. In my case it was $1,690.04. btw, how was it measured? they did not explain,- I do not know if it's a small, or very small, or a bigger than small, or a big amount [for month? total? for day? :lol:] ;)
- Weblo will propose you- Add InterNET Worth to your Facebook account. Do it of course. It's a normal "3-rd party application" for Facebook. btw, lots of another useful and useless apps are available here
AFTER THAT:
Weblo says to you: "Your Ad Space has been created. You do not need Ad Code for this Ad Space.". That means there is nothing to do else, the integration for Facebook from Weblo is done! And they confirm it once again some later-
Ads are placed directly on your profile under the InterNET Worth Facebook application each time you update your Facebook profile value.
(this is the difference with Google Adsense, Weblo is able to embed their service to Facebook directly. but for another Web apps you'll have to copy/paste some HTML code, the same as with Google, Yahoo, etc)
